TRDA Winners Awards celebration

In February 2023, Board approved the consolidation of three legacy PGR internal awards and introduced the equitable Trinity Research Doctorate Awards (TRDA) covering tuition fees (EU + non-EU) and providing an annual tax-free stipend of €25,000 for four years. This marks the third year of intake of students under the TRDA umbrella. We now have 155 TRDA students registered.

PhD Students are of great importance to the University, and this award represents the commitment of Trinity to their funding with this significant investment. Such funding is of vital importance for  early-stage researchers, students and cross-Faculty projects that would not otherwise be funded.

The competition this year was more intense that ever, with 118 excellent PI and Group based applications for a total of 15 possible awards.
