Celebrations to mark 250 years of modern languages at Trinity
A series of events will be held throughout the year to commemorate this historic initiative. The ‘Languages 250 at Trinity (1776-2026)’ programme will showcase the important work of the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies and promote the cause of modern language education on the island of Ireland.

Titanic Belfast scholarship strengthens Trinity’s links with Northern Ireland
Now in its second year, the scholarship provides a €5,000 annual bursary over four years, offering financial support to undergraduate students from Northern Ireland and reinforcing Trinity’s commitment to being a university for the whole island of Ireland.

Trinity presents Entrance Awards to 602 students from 32 counties
There are 59 students receiving awards from 39 countries outside Ireland. Of the Irish awardees, 393 are from schools in Leinster, 67 are from Munster, 42 from Connacht and 41 from Ulster.

Prof Wladislaw (Wlad) Rivkin has been appointed Trinity’s first Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. This newly created role was approved at the December Board meeting in line with the delivery of Thrive: Trinity’s Strategic Plan 2025-2030.
